HubOut – Creative Workshop, gave life in 2013 to ZAC – Zone Artistiche Condivise, a project that affected the city of Cinisello Balsamo (MI) for more than six months; the project involved residents and simple users of the territory in a participatory art process that dealt with various contemporary issues such as: the use of new technologies, active citizenship and urban renewal. This participatory process activated an interesting reflection on how art can be an effective tool for the involvement of a community in the management of its territory, inserting itself within the mechanisms of democracy between citizens and institutions.
The project is divided into 7 phases: collection of ideas, synthesis of the ideas collected, residences of the artists and co-planning, planning, promotion, prizegiving/vote and finally realization.
During the various development phases of ZAC – Zone Artistiche Condivise, was proposed a calendar of events open to everyone. These events accompanied and deepened some of the topics discussed during the creative process. All the public meetings took place at Pertini Cultural Centre.
