The name wants to recall our vision of the world: make sure that young people are the active protagonists in making their city an ideal place. POY is also a reference to looking ahead to a better future.
The group is composed by 5 women, who come from different municipalities and have different backgrounds:
Chaira is 28, she’s graduated in science and technologies of fine arts and entertainment at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Brescia. She has different experiences in the field of international volunteering and in communications.
Miriana is 28, she’s graduated in International Communication, with specialization in Public Diplomacy at Vilnius University. She cooperated for several years with an Onlus of Cinisello Balsamo.
Giulia is 26, she’s graduated in communication sciences at the Università degli Studi of Milan and she had lots of experiences of volunteering at a youth association.
Carlotta is 25, she’s graduated in Science of Education and of Formation at the Università Bicocca in Milan.
Martina is 24, she’s majoring in Psychological Science at the University of Bergamo. She worked for Anffas Onlus NordMilano like swimming instructor for kids with disabilities and she did different experiences as group leader in youth exchanges (Erasmus+) .
The group was born in December 2019 after they have been selected to participate at the Universal Civic Service inside the Office of Youth Policies in the municipality of Cinisello Balsamo and, after a year of work and numerous shared experiences, we decided to create POY.
